More up and Coming...

Well, it's November so we are full force into the Holiday Bazaar season.  This weekend my daughters and I will be opening our booth at Dayspring's Fellowship's Bazaar here in Keizer from 8am-1pm on Saturday the 13th.  We are running around putting the final touches on everything and loving every minute of it!

My daughter Madeline made this beautiferous rustic star!  Both girls have fashioned many an item using twigs, pinecones, cinnamon, recycled cereal and pizza boxes, and much more.  I'm so proud to share table space with these two!

Because of my husband's brilliant label designs, I was inspired to change my lip balms up a little this year to look more like a peppermint candy.  I think they are adoreable and make great stocking stuffers.

One thing I am really trying to focus on during the holidays (and all year round) is how to "green things up".  Christmas gift wrapping can be very hard on the environment if we are not mindful of the waste.  At just $2 a pop, Gift Embellishment Kits include a tag made from repurposed tea boxes, raffia and a beaded star anise pod.  It's beautiful and it smells great!

OCTOBER!! This is that amazing time of year where, at least here in Oregon, the changing of the season is obvious. Fall is clearly... "falling", and it triggers my creativity.
I lo
ve this time of year as the colors and fragrances cause anticipation for the coming holidays. I especially love the amazing smell of essential oils permeating my home as I've begun producing luxurious bath and body products for up and coming holiday bazaars. Using mainly fairly traded and/or organic quality materials, I am excited to bring these fabulous products to the table!
Some of my creations include:
The return of my well loved Body Butters (made with exotic and fairly traded African shea, mango and kpagnan butters), which will include "flavors" such as Lemon Meringue, Pomander, Sweet Orange/Ylang Ylang, Tangeranium, Lavender/Lemon/Mint and a new masculine scent I like to call Midnight.

For the bath~ Candy Cane Bath Salts made with exotic Himalayan Pink Salt. This is sure to wake up your senses and revive your tired body! For a more relaxing bathing experience, I've made Herbal Bath Teas. Just the thing to unwind the mind and soothe tired muscles. Not only do they have therapeutic properties, they are also just pretty to look at!

"Merry-Mint" will mark the return of my moisturizing lip balm with a delicious peppermint/cocoa flavor. So nourishing as the dry cool air plays a harsh number on our lips.
And for skin that struggles with the elements, Skin Salvation~ A balm infused with lavender, calendula and plantain to fight all the problems colder weather creates for our skin. This product has a nice light scent and is also wonderful for baby bums!
Once I get going, it's hard for me to turn off the "switch", so there may be more to follow... Who knows? In the mean time, I'm really looking forward to a table full of finished products to share!
